It is with immense pleasure that I, Mrs. Jayashree Mohanty, welcome you all to the official web portal of Joda Women’s College.
I have had the privilege of serving this esteemed institution since 1992. From the very beginning of my journey here, I have witnessed the visionary efforts of Mr. Jitu Patnaik, an eminent businessman and politician, whose dream was to bring higher education to this tribal and educationally backward region. His noble vision took shape in 1987 with the establishment of the first college in this area, fulfilling the long-cherished aspirations of countless young girls seeking access to higher learning.
Today, with over 1000 students, Joda Women’s College has emerged as one of the most sought-after institutions in the region. It stands tall as a beacon of women empowerment through education. We are proud to provide a learning environment that not only fosters academic excellence but also cultivates strong values, leadership, creativity, and a spirit of inquiry among our students.
Our dedicated team of faculty members tirelessly nurtures each student with care and commitment. Our non-teaching staff, too, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the college and in the achievement of our collective goals.
